Abbot Ale Pump & Pint

Abbot Ale

Brewed in Bury St Edmunds since 1951, Abbot Ale is a firm favourite for brewers and locals alike. In fact, Abbot Ale's name comes from a local publican who put forward his suggestion in a competition run by Greene King brewery back in 1951. Warming, fruity and full of biscuity maltiness, this ale is fermented slowly for its unique taste.

Ice Breaker - Beer Glass

Icebreaker

Our American style pale ale is the perfect companion to a sunny afternoon in one of our pub beer gardens, with Simcoe and Citra hops giving it a refreshing citrusy tropical aroma. Pale and amber malts add a balanced sweetness for a pale ale you'll want to reach for again and again.

Hazy Day IPA

Packed with tropical aroma and the taste of grapefruit, lemon, orange and coconut, Hazy Day is a smooth pale ale brewed for easy drinking. Its name dates back to the 16th Century in Bury St Edmunds, where those who were convicted of minor crimes were sentenced to a day in the pillories.

Prior Life All Day IPA

A tribute to the original Bury St Edmunds brewers, Benedictine monks who are still said to haunt the town's abbey to this day, Prior Life is a light, bright and refreshing IPA, with punchy tropical notes of lychee and mango and a thoroughly fruity aroma.

Flint Eye

Our crisp, dry hopped lager is packed with flavour, balancing bright orange peel and citrusy aromas with subtle pine notes. It's the Greene King brewery's tribute to Neolithic master craftsmen, whose flint arrowheads are still discovered regularly in the fields of East Anglia.
